Why Can’t I watch live matches with a UK subscription?

Due to rights agreements, live video coverage of Scottish Premiership, League Cup, and Scottish Cup games is only available to fans outside the UK & Ireland. We use geo-blocking to enforce this.

Full match replays are available to UK fans, usually from midnight on the day of the game.

Occasionally we'll have UK rights for specific games, and sometimes we won't have overseas rights. These will be announced in advance on the main club website, celticfc.com.

When do full match replays become available?

  • UK & Ireland: Full match replays are available from approximately 10pm for a weekend match and midnight for a weekday match due to SPFL Broadcasting rules.
  • Outside UK & Ireland: We try to make match replays available earlier.

Are Pay-per-view events now available through Celtic TV?

Over the past three seasons we have been broadcasting selected home Scottish Premiership matches to supporters in Scotland and Ireland on a separate pay-per-view streaming platform. These matches will now be able to purchase through the new Celtic TV website.

By purchasing a Pay-per-view pass you can stream all the pre-match build up, live match action as well as half-time and full-time analysis for selected matches.

What games will I be able to watch?

All pay-per-view matches will be promoted through the main club website: celticfc.com and on Celtic TV through the Match Hub and Matchday Live links.

How do I purchase a Pay-per-view event on Celtic TV?

  • Firstly, if you're new to Celtic TV register an account here - https://celticfc.tv/register
  • However, if you already have a Celtic TV account, sign in here - https://celticfc.tv/login
  • Click on the Match Hub or Matchday Live link on the Celtic TV site.

  • Once your payment is successful, you can watch the live event on the Matchday Live tab.

Can I access the live event on Celtic TV on more than one device at the same time?

No. You can only watch a live Pay-Per-View event on one device at any one time. If you sign into an additional device while logged in on another, you will automatically be logged out of the first device. Likewise, if you share your details and someone tries to login at the same time as you, it will end your access to the live Pay-Per-View event.

Can I use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxies to stream on Celtic TV?

Please ensure that you are not using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxies as this can cause the live Pay-Per-View Event to not function.

If I miss kick-off, can I login to watch the remainder of the games?

You can login at any point after the game has started, however as the game is live, you can only watch from the time you have logged in and will not be able to rewind to the start of the game.

Will I be able to watch a replay of the Pay-Per-View event after the final whistle?

No, Pay-Per-View events are only available as live broadcast.

I am seeing a message informing me that I cannot purchase a stream from England – I am not in England?

On a Saturday between the hours of 1445 and 1715, we cannot stream live matches to anyone in England. Unfortunately, you may have an IP address that runs through a server based in England and this is why you are receiving this message.

Is this blackout not applicable for whole of UK / Ireland?

Is there anything I can do to watch the match as I am not based in England?

The system will detect that you have an English IP address but you will be able to continue if you are not located in that region. However, if your payment card is registered to an English address, your payment will be declined.

How do I renew my Celtic TV subscription?

If you have paid for a subscription via Worldpay, you'll need to sign up again on our new Stripe platform when your current subscription ends.

Why does my stream keep buffering?

Constant buffering or loading circles, or frequent changes in the quality of your stream, is likely to be caused by weak or interrupted internet connectivity within your Wi-Fi network.

If you are encountering these issues, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart your browser, device and home Wi-Fi Network

  • Shut down your device
  • Unplug your Wi-Fi router from power for 1-2 minutes
  • Plug your Wi-Fi router back into power
  • Restart device, open Celtic TV in browser

2. Improve your Wi-Fi Signal

  • Move to a more central location/closer to your device
  • Move Wi-Fi router away from other wireless devices (microwaves) to avoid interference
  • Move Wi-Fi router off the floor

3. Connect your computer directly to the Wi-Fi router

  • Close the browser that had Celtic TV open
  • Shut down your computer
  • Unplug your Wi-Fi router from power for 1-2 minutes
  • Plug your Wi-Fi router back into power
  • Turn computer on, plug computer into Wi-Fi router via ethernet cable
